The Central Board of Revenue (CBR) has signed an agreement with NIFT to facilitate electronic filing of tax returns using digitally signed emails under the protection and privileges of ETO-2002, said a press release here on Tuesday.

The CBR will facilitate the taxpayers to undertake electronic filing of Income Tax and General Sales Tax using class-2 digital certificates/ signatures fit for financial transactions thus modernising tax collection system in Pakistan.

This will put Pakistan on the list of few countries that provide such convenience to the taxpayers.-PR
